Re: Hobart Looking for Next Coach
Hobart is not the only school that has a pick (selection) and jumps through the hoops internally and externally. It happens in the corporate world too. 100%. Then when you actually want an open process, some good candidates won't apply because past practice gives the impression it's all smoke and m...

Re: Hobart Looking for Next Coach
There is no mystery here. This has always been Hobart's plan. Osika was rumored to step down due to Administrative role in school a couple of years ago. Schreiber left Westside to become the HC when Osika resigned from coaching. In regards to posting the for the job, I would assume they have some b...

Re: Hobart Looking for Next Coach
Consider them, yes give them the position? They don't fit the profile. This makes zero sense. Why would you waste everyone 's time by considering a candidate if you have no intention of hiring them? If Schreiber is the guy, just hire him. Is the job posted or going to be posted? I'm all about hirin...

Re: Hobart Looking for Next Coach
Close but no cigar... neither fills the bill. Fills what bill? Region Don says he think there's more qualified candidates. You asked him to name one and he actually named two. Regardless if either of those guys wants the job or is going to be considered, are you saying they are less qualified then ...

Re: Munster Open
A lot of what he said bothers me, but the two most troubling IMO are: 1. The "next meal" analogy is just offensive, especially to schools who LITERALLY are at 100% poverty level. 2. The usage of the word "easy." None of it's easy anymore, public or private. And, if it was, publics would be winning t...

Re: Munster Open
Ironically enough, a friend of mine who's kid went to MC sent me this quote last week from Lynch. I think it was either before or after the title game in reference to "recruiting" and the differences between publics and privates. Interesting to say the least. "The one town one team whole thing they ...

Re: Munster Open
But if true, coach Marsh's only contribution to the downfall of Munster football would be refusing to play the HS recruiting game and protecting his own from the Catholic League wolves Unfortunately, this is why you now see public schools poaching kids from other public schools; at least more than ...

Re: Munster Open
I know nothing about Munster. Did Leroy drive the program into the dirt by staying on too long or keep it from dying earlier by staying on so long. They were much more successful earlier in his tenure, but that was also before the population explosion in South Lake County. I have heard this express...

Re: Merrillville @ Morton
Both staffs wanna bury the other. Heard both teams say they won’t put backups in and only starters no matter what score is and they will continue to run it up! Such a comfort to know there are still some selfless coaches out there molding our youth into men and doing things for the right reasons....

Re: Rock Bottom For Lowell?
Ill take that bet warrior Bet!! 1. I was told the construction company is shooting for completion by week 4. IF they are done by then, it will have a punch list a mile long so I guess you'll have to define ready for week one. Does a turf field with people sitting in lawn chairs and using porta pott...
