Re: Hanover Central loss
Finally watched the stream of this one and what a tale of 2 Halfs. Hanover Central came apart in the last 8 mins, I mean what an epic comeback from West Lafayette but Hanover got completely out coached and out schemed. Hanover is a program on the rise but they are still learning how to win. I am not...

Re: Crown Point vs. Warsaw or Penn
Picking Carroll to reach Semi-State was likely the worst prediction I've made this year. The Tiger fans on the gridirondigest are suggesting Warsaw played flawless and kept Carroll off the field with Bart Ball and buring extensive amounts of clock. Apparently, the Warsaw starting QB was making his ...

Re: Friday Night Forecast
Weather in the Fall always a concern. With most of the games on field turf vs grass, it’s not that big of a concern this week. Now if it rains during the game, it’s a different story. When looking at the pairings for Friday, the only one that stuck out to me was WL @ RC. RC field is grass and will ...

Re: Sectional Draw
Yeah, I’m not talking about inside zone at the pro level. And I know what duo is. Again, don’t know how Valpo coaches it, but a lot of teams coach inside zone as a horizontal movement play. One of them being Coach Ralph down at New Pal, whose teams are the best inside zone teams in the state by a c...

Re: Sectional Draw
Zone runs were created at the NFL level to take advantage of smaller, faster lineman. Can’t speak for how Valpo coaches it, but most zone schemes aim for horizontal movement, rather than vertical movement. Running Inside Zone blocking scheme is where each lineman is responsible for blocking their p...

Re: Sectional Draw
Yes, they have been more balanced run pass with good rb’s like Bowen the last 2 years. Walsh the 2-3 seasons before Bowen. This year was just a combination of inexperience and lack of talent at both oline and running back. Lack of size arguably could be factor but having said that they had a 6’7” 3...
