Re: DTs Dandy Dozen - 12 Questions for Region Football Fans
Good to see the ole friend DT's posts! My brief thoughts in bold. 1. Highland defeated West Side by 3 TDs in their season opener. Is the Trojan program ready to take a step forward or should we expect to see the usual easy non con wins and then a 1-4 conference record? Does Coach K have the program ...

Re: Lake Central
When Brett Saint Germain took over the Lake Central job, he had to work hard to change that culture. Part of that was getting his arms around the middle school and pop warner program to prevent talent from leaving for Andrean or Mount Carmel. If TBart is building this program, which I know takes ti...

Re: Lake Central
It is the varsity coaches job to built and run the program. So it is his job to get the 7th and 8th graders to buy in and choose football over other sports. LC has great athletes, they are very good in every other sport. A talented head coach gets more of those kids to play football. It is a simple...

Re: Lake Central
Putting the blame on the coaching is a cop out. As AD asked who is the great players on their roster? If there are great players on that roster then Fred Flinstone could coach them to a win against a class 2 school or for it to at least be a competitive game. Entitled probably was a bad word choice...

Re: Lake Central
Entitled might be strong, I just don't think football is a priority in the tri-town. Lake Central was too predictable on offense, and put their defense in tough spots with short fields. Also, don't diminish Andrean's accomplishment here, they have some play makers, which, ultimately was the differe...

Random Questions - Heading into the season
Hope all are well and healthy. Have a few questions that came to mind when looking over prep stuff for the high school season. Curious to hear any thoughts: When was the last time the region had 4 teams with a real shot to win state? Seems like it's been a while, but great to see. What are the numbe...
