So if they change schools on enrollment this next year (I can’t remember if they did that this last year) there are some changes among the region. Some bigger changes. Maybe
6A
Merrillville and valpo join 6A
5A
Portage falls to 5A (because of Decatur central playing up) portage is technically 32nd on enrollment
4A
Hammond Morton falls to 4A
3A
Andrean is back to 3A on enrollment even though success would of moved them up
If I’m wrong I apologize just by looking at the numbers that were released
New enrollment numbers released..

That killed me man
Re: New enrollment numbers released..
Andrean is moving up from 2A to 3A because of success factor only. Andrean enrollment is up to 473. Without success factor, they would have been #12 largest 2A school.
Now them and Adams Central are the smallest 3A schools.

Haven’t been wrong in about 5 years
You guys just can’t face the obvious that Merrillville gets screwed all the time. Just look at state 10+ point winning the QB doesn’t leave game easily

Poor Morton. After all these years spent earnestly aspiring to 4A, one can’t help but observe that the path would now be considerably more accommodating in 5A.

Morton, Munster, Portage, and Hammond Central sure does sound good to this Governor alum. Your Regional opponent would likely be City, LaPorte, or Chesterton. Gotta like those chances of being able to make a Semi-State. I think in the long term, 4A will be better for the Govs but the upcoming 5A would've been nice for the Govs too.North of 30 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 2:24 pmPoor Morton. Morton Always underperform based on their talent. Talent alone they should have competed vs Merrillville year in and year out but continues to get blown out every year.Jimbo23 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 6:55 pmMorton, Munster, Portage, and Hammond Central sure does sound good to this Governor alum.
