Not sure Hobart has enough to get to semistate this year. But I would love to be wrong about that.

North Judson. Weren't they mainly seniors this past year? I maybe wrong on that, but thats what I was thinking

Hobart I think if they can get by new prairie goes to semistate minimum. Fell the regional is easier…

And north Judson they had a lot of seniors but return a lot of skill positions on the team and the jv was a good team too I think it will carry over. We will see

Would love to see all those teams from the 219 get down to Lucas oil.

I think CP has a “down” year and doesn’t get past Penn in the sectionals.

Our best change is Andrean in 2A

I think CP might be down too.

But penn is a joke anymore. I wouldn’t even favor them over portage anymore. Penn will never come back to being the penn we all know.

I think the 3 best options are

North Judson, Andrean, Merrillville.

All 3 should cake walk to semistate before they get in a battle. And 5A… well Warsaw graduated a lot.. and LJ has never beat Merrillville… and most games are bigger spreads.. idk. We will see

The haven’t made it out of a sectional 5?out of last 6 years.

There schedule is weak. They have been average at best against teams in duneland. 99% of time recently crown point and Merrillville make them look like Laporte.. the new coach is not great. And the fact kids are transferring out from Penn over last 3-4 years. Also coming from there alumni the school is way more invested in non football sports. Especially basketball.

Pena last 10 meetings with duneland. (4-6)

Valpo (W) 49-42
Crown point (L) 35-0
Valpo (W)38-21
Crown point (L) 34-33
Portage (W) 31-6
Valpo (L) 35-7
Laporte (L) 21-14
Merrillville (L) 39-7
Chesterton (W) 10-7
Chesterton (L) 20-14

Penn really hasn’t been relevant since 2017. That’s why valpo is dropping them after this year supposedly.

I mean they lost to Laporte… lol
