Of course Valpo is still a threat in the sectional...they lost one score games to the two teams that are their competition in that sectional.
2022 still hurts him badly. Lol Valpo will be 3-6, on a 2-game winning streak with competitive games played against their two biggest sectional opponents as mentioned above and against 6A Penn as well as competitive-ish vs 6A Crown Point. They are absolutely a threat to win Sectional 10.

Why would it hurt honestly was the best thing to happen to our program. They got a different attitude since then. It’s made them more hungry. They thought they were just gonna get it handed to them.

And I wouldn’t call them competitive against Penn or crown point.

Penn if you play the game today wins by running clock. Penn broke out with ease to start game and then killed themsselves with penalties other wise they drove all game. Score shows closer but the score is closer than the actudl game was.

Michigan city with the butt whooping they got I woundnt consider them a legit threat either. Chesterton I think is the most well rounded but we will see in 2 more weeks where they stand. I think the Trojans finally get one

Bingo. You can taste the salt in every one of his posts about Valpo lol.
AND, unfortunately for anyone hurt by Valpo success, despite their not so great 2025 season, they're not going to just disappear and become irrelevant because of one "bad" season where they're STILL a threat in their Sectional. Unless coach Marshall is retiring, they're gonna be JUST fine.
I mean in there sectional maybe. But they haven’t been a threat state wide since 2022.

I wouldn’t have thought this Valpo team would finish the season 3-6 but they just aren’t that good on the Offensive and defensive lines compared to years past. Will be first losing season since 2014. They have a chance at sectional but I just don’t think the defensive line will hold up against the run.
