I don’t think they are related. I know for sure two of his brothers work in GSSC schools.
I thought maybe he was a son or something. Because he looks young but like I said no clue if there is any relation
Nephew, he's Dan's son. Tony's son Caleb was the QB for wheeler the past 3 seasons.
Yeah I knew he played defense I think at wheeler a while back. Makes me wonder if Tony would come join. I mean I think he coached here a while back as an OC but not sure. Thought he was an OC under wells before he left for wheeler. I know he was my English teacher lol 😂

Portage has been awful for 15 years. I guess the pipeline of good athletes has run out there because they were good from 1990-2010. Blows my mind how bad that program has become.

Pipeline has not dried up a drop. Some of the best players in the region over the last few years have been Portage residents who left. James Findley from Andrean was from Portage, John Peters at Merrillville who's starting at Western Michigan right now was from there. Not to mention the handful that are playing in the CCL.

The talent is absolutely there. The ? is can someone establish stability and a culture to maximize it. Whoever does is going to have an abundance of riches in talent.

100% agree with you. There is a tremendous amount of talent in Portage schools.

I don’t claim to know why it’s not translating to succes in football.

Paintballs is 100% correct. There are even a few more D1 kids recently that he left off that decided to play elsewhere. Culture, is the #1 thing to change things at that school. #2 has got to be more support from the top. #3 whoever is the coach needs to recruit the hallways. Keep the kids at portage. Losing way too many D1 kids to other programs.

I knew I definitely was missing a few names. Findlay and Peters were just the two that immediately came to mind. But yea everything you say is basically it.
