I mean there's 3 schools (other than Morton) that you can spit a loogie into a stiff wind from Hammond Central's parking lot and it would land in theirs (Whiting, EC, and BNI). So between the 4 schools closest to them plus the NWI Suburban, South Chicago Suburban, and Chicago area private schools? Hammond Central might as well be the MAC school of the area, just getting their top underclassmen exposure/ playing time to see them leave to a bigger and/ or better place (in their eyes/ the eyes of the general public). Doesn't mean I think it's okay. But this IS what it is.
