Whiting at 2-2 checkls in the IFCA 2a Poll

Wheeler off to great start, Checks in 2a Poll #10, rightfully so, looking forward to seeing the outcome of the Griffith week 9, looks like based on what scores look like thus far will be the only time they will be tested before the ping pong balls drop October 12th.

Lake Station took one on the chin vs West Central

Boone Grove shut out so far anyone who is not a 1a school

Andrean just chuggling along after week 1 vs Ville.

Bremen sitting at 2-2 with tough victory over LaVille, Bremen 1st year at Bremen but long time HC (former coach at Glenn and in TENN as well before moving back to Indiana and being LaVille's OC last few years before going back to his alma mater Bremen.

RCHS: No one cares

1. That's insane about Whiting. No way they should be finding their way in that poll.

2. Wheeler is gonna keep climbing until that week 9 matchup. Big one for sure.

3. Lake Station is Lake Station

4. Boone Grove might score 3 more touchdowns all season.

5. 100%

6. Interesting tidbit about Bremen.

7. I care, Coach, I CARE!!! Lol tell me about the Bombers!!!

Andrean vs Hobart:
1. Arguably their best player but one of their top 3 players has been all season thus far except for wek1 first half.

2 Two other starters have been out for last two games.

3. I don’t know status of all three. It would be great to get them all back but I know they don’t want to rush it. Thinking longer term/ post season.

4. Pickett is not the concern. Is big but slow. The qb is the key to that offense. He is an effective runner and can throw it. He’s playing great for them. Will Andrean use a spy on him???

5. Andrean running game vs Hobart front 7. This is going to be the battle all night. I think this will be a stalemate.

6. Which passing attack makes plays? This will be the separator.

7. I still think it’s a low scoring game. Good old fashioned slobber knocker between two teams that hate each other.

Can definitely make a case for Morton to be on the list. I mean at this point valpo may need to drop out for the first time in a really long time
I was going to put Morton at 10 and Valpo at Outside Looking In but I opted to go with the reverse because in all reality, the loser of Chesterton vs Valpo is dropping out of my top 10. Seeing as Morton will win every game they play the rest of the season and will have a crack at Hobart in week 8, they won't be out of my top 10 for long.

Morton unless they beat Hobart should t be any higher than 10 at any point the rest of year. Schedule is way to weak.

But Morton has take care of business like they should.

And I mean if Valpo wins I don’t drop Chesterton out I put them at 10..
I wouldn’t say Morton has played a weak schedule through the first 4 games of the season. They’ve played 2 DAC teams, a 6A team from Illinois and last years state runner up in Michigans 2nd biggest division. In all honestly they were a bad ref spot away from finishing the game against Chesterton and being 3-1.

Now it does get much weaker until they play Hobart later in the season. Andrean vs Hobart will determine the winner of the NCC. If you want to bring up a weak schedule look at Griffith’s opponents so far this season. The only good team they have played has been Lowell and that game was not close.

Bombers have put together a starting lineup that has all JRs and SRs for first time in last few years. JR class has multi 3 year starters

Won an OT thriller (Kudos to KV comeback last 2 mins of game) fun classic Rival game week 1

Week 2, NN, running clock 49-0 half , Varsity ran 25 plays on Offense scoring 7 touchdowns

week 3: Glenn, with a big SR class, won 28-0, Glenn turned around and beat Jimtown 14-10 last week.

week 4: Lost to WL in our final game with them for forseeable future, 3 great 1st half drives of 11 plays, 16 plays, 13 plays, led to turnover on downs at 8 yard line on 4th and 1, miss pass on 4th and 5 on 16 yard line and drive 3, 1st play 80 yd td called back, bounced back and drove it back down but fumbled on 2nd down and goal from the 5, ran punt back for TD and it was 14-7 at Half. Open the half with the ball, another 12 play drive, false start on 1st and 10 inside the 40, pushed back to 1st and 15, ended up throwing an INT on 3rd and 11 they ran back around 30 yards, led to TD, then we gget ball back, driving again and fumbled again......rest is history.

Week 5: Tipton
week 6: Central Catholic
Week 7: Benton Central
week 8: River Forest
Week 9: Logansport

There ya go JIMBO. cheers

Agreed on all accounts. That's why to me Morton's ranking with Chesterton and Valpo (as of today) is flexible. Saw the clip and they got HOSED. That does NOT mean they WOULD win the game but they would've had a much better shot. Morton being 5-2 headed into the Hobart game certainly exceeded my expectations for them this year given what they lost to graduation and to injury (this season).

Really excited for Andrean and Hobart, should be a great game for sure. Griffith has rolled (except Lowell & Munster made it harder on them than they wanted) and will roll until the week 9 Wheeler game which should be competitive.

That's awesome stuff and appreciate the recap on West Lafayette. I figured based on your first 3 results you guys probably had a team you liked that had some experience to it. Definitely rooting for the Bombers as always!

The two DAC teams… one of them might be one of the worst teams in the entire state. The other is a Chesterton team that in my opinion isn’t mid tier DAC but will be because everyone else is so down. I mean quote me if I’m wrong the team in Illinois is one of the worst… and the one in Michigan is really young this year? But still put a whopping on them. Like is said quote me if I’m wrong. I mean Morton needs to schedule the valpo/merrillville/crown point

Loyola/brother rice/mt Carmel/joliet catholic.

I mean it’s weak till they get a top 75 schedule

Right now it’s 103 and at end of year it’s projected it be around 190… I want to see them play top dogs consistently in Indiana which I know is hard because of conference and everything
