Better than last year doesn’t mean anything if you are starting from bad ie Laporte. CP and Merrillville are meeting expectations. Valpo being down hurts the conference immensely. No other team has filled the void left by Valpo. I don’t know why you are enamored with MC. Don’t get fooled by skill players alone. QB is not good. Line is not good. Play undisciplined. MC is worst than last year by alot. Lake Central has disappointed this season. I thought they would be better. Chesterton is average and way better last year. Portage was better last year.

Usually you can count on CP, Merrillville, Valpo, Chesterton and MC being very competitive with each other. That is not the case this year. Two really good teams and the rest are not.

watched some of the Lake Station and Whiting game online. Lake Station has some athletes this year. Where did #1 come from? I do not think he was there before. Is he a transfer from somewhere?

Congratulations to the 4-1 Lake Station Eagles for their victory over Whiting, their first since 1999!

Very simply, YES!

The conference is way down this year.
Team to team basis

Crown point I’d say is a little worst than last year.

Merrillville is about the same maybe a tad better

Chesterton. I like this Chesterton team over last years.

Laporte is better than last years Laporte team.

City is better than last years city team. They have more speed and more talent just the attitudes are getting in the way. Maybe Cody French has to go.

Lake central and valpo are much worst than last years teams

I’d say the conference is a little better but not much.

O and portage is terrible as usual.
Let's be honest. The conference without Mason running city has drastically decreased the overall quality of the conference.

Valpo being in somewhat of a talent drought has not helped either. The quality of play is there due to the staff but they're just not churning out the same tier of talent they did 5 years ago. That's not any knock on Valpo more of a compliment on the integrity of the community. There are normal ebbs and flows in the talent levels of a community and I anticipate they have some strong classes that are working their way up.

LC has not improved since Good left.

Laporte is not improved. Their opponents are worse. NP is historically bad(0-5) and LC is not in a good spot.

I think any analysis of Portage this year is virtually pointless due to the amount of offseason turmoil they faced. Saying they're not good is like kicking a horse while it's down. We get it. It's not special for pointing it out.

Good deal, he is a player. I must have missed him last year or maybe he was out the little bit I watched.

How does sh** canning French change anything at MC? Is it really going to change the culture?

French to me isn’t a good coach. He is a better coordinator but he can’t control a team to many people over at city say since he came in the drama and the non brotherhood shit has gotten worst. He just doesn’t seem like he can pull them togejtefb
