Not a coach or anyone important down here in Rensselaer so I'm going to say what I want.
Since 92 I've seen Luers, Andrean, Central Catholic all pound down here at Rensselaer vs the best teams we had in decades vs just their reloading team.
And most the time......we got squished.

Lures only losses this season have come from 5a and 4a schools.

Knox on the other hand have played a bunch of 1a and 2a schools.

They are NOT ready for Luers. Private schools are on a whole other wave length right now. Notice 90% of the teams left are all Private.

Lures 45 Knox 20.
We also beat Central Catholic with NFL player CRONK and D1 B10 Player as well, not once, but twice in 2014, a year we won State.

Just saying

I understand the sentiment and yes, Public school cycles are very much a thing, Rensselaer not immune as well, but not every PP is built the same:

See Noll, Faith Christian, FW Blackhawk, Park Tudor, Ritter, just to name a few off the top of my head
Just because some private schools don't take advantage of their advantage doesn't mean that the advantage doesn't exist.
Preach

Any updates? What was their game plan to stop Myles?

incredible performance by Luers DL and LB

Gotta get the Knights in the tourrmament anywhere but Ft Wayne... different animal , as you saw last week when tied in the 4th before the getting TD vs TL.

Great career for KNOX McCLAUGHLIN , was rooting for that community to experience State finals much like I was for Brownswtown Central !!

Mville so much talent. so much speed

IMO: the state game of the weekend happens Friday night Mville vs New Pal. What a matchup

From watching the stream: 5-2 BOX

Luers got down hill and Knox OL sputter their feet in wet grass and couldn't get a push, and then it was lights out ... Center from Knox looked to have a tough night, slow late snaps and some on the ground, and also Knox had turnovers on O. Knox D has given up points all year against good offenses but their O has masked some of that, but not on this night in Ft Fun.....different energy there with the Knights, sadly I know too well

Well some didn't listen and now....YOU FOUND OUT!
Seen to much of The Knights to ever LIKE them, respect though....sure. Hopefully they can bump up to 4A next year to fight their P/P buddies!

Yep, you know it, I know it, we've seen what P/P Schools do, but too many were drinking the coolant hoping to see Henrys record broken.

Would love to see the pirates compete. But I expect a new pal win. So my hope is right game at half. And keep it respectable by the end. We may of lost a key player tonight. But no matter what proud of the pirates and now th mental girls is gone this team will make the state title game more oftheb that not I believe now!!

Agreed on all accounts. I think Merrillville matches up better with New Pal than many think. I think New Pal is the favorite but I like Merrillville's chances if they play a clean game.
