In order of of desirability of position, (if I was the AD)

1. O'Connell
2. French
3. Klimczak
4. Blanco
5. Robinson
6. Kania

List is crazy anyway.

O'conell isn't leaving CP.
Robinson and Kania wont get intrerviews.

Portage extended the application deadline. So there isnt any big names.

3 questions.

Do you give it in house to Klimczak?

Do you take a chance with French?

How Long does Hudak stay at Hammond?

who you taking from those 3
Interesting list. Hudak has done a great job at Hammond Central and French would probably bring a lot of excitement. Curious to see if any out of state applicants are attracted to a job that size. Duneland is another good team away from being a GREAT conference.

The smoothest hire would be Klimczak as far as already being in the building.

Why would he be the smoothest hire? Just because he's in the building doesn't mean he's a better fit! Hes a good offensive coach I'll give him that but a HC I don't think hes cut out for it.

That's your opinion and you know the old saw about opinions. There are dynamics that you might not be considering; Knowing the lay of the land, the culture of the student body, the community, the fan base. I think you give him a chance and see where it goes. Delegation to a hand picked staff will be the difference.

This is the aspect some people can't see... Hudak is not leaving Hammond at this time, French, contrary to media reports, has not been offered the job. He has a pretty cush assignment at CHS.

Hudak had some successful teams at Wheeler, and built a team from scratch now at Hammond. Plus, he actually won a few games with Lake Station at his first gig.

I've heard through the town rumor mill a certain HC has been wandering the halls at Griffith talking to the players. Just need to make it official. Wonder who y'all think it is?

I only heard a coach was wandering the halls so it made me more curious. I shouldn't have insinuated there was a who behind hearing that.
