HM: KV, Chesterton,
I watched enough of the Hammond Central / Pioneer game to say the Wolves are not a Top 10 Region team. No way.

Can’t put merrilllville under Hobart. Especially when merrillville held them to 100 total yards and blew that game open
While Merrillville easily beat Hobart and you can't put Hobart over the Pirates in the top 10, Merrillville most definitely did not hold Hobart under 100 total yards. While Hobart's last touchdown drive covered about 65 yards against Merrillville (mostly) backups, they had 239 yards in the game.

If you go from when merrillville put the backups in Hobart had 97 yards total. According to region sports

Region sports is incorrect. Hobart had 133 yards at half. I have the game log that shows that. First half drives for Hobart:

Anyway, your point that Hobart shouldn't be placed ahead of Merrillville was valid, just the claim you are citing is not accurate. I find that to be true of a lot of media outlets -- the stats they are putting out simply aren't accurate.

First drive: started on Hobart 19, ended on Hobart 48. 29 yards. Punt
Second drive: started on Hobart 28, ended on Hobart 36. 8 yards. Punt
Third drive: started on Hobart 41, ended with a touchdown. 59 yards. Touchdown.
Fourth drive: started on Merrillville 37, ended on Merrillville 10. 27 yards, ended with a blocked field goal.

That is 123 yards. Total was 133 yards of offense due to 10 extra yards Hobart had to gain due to penalty yards lost. Merrillville defense was good in the third quarter but Hobart did have 39 yards of offense. Brickies crossed the 100 yard mark around the 6 minute mark of the second quarter. Merrillville starters exited just for the last two series of the game with about 3 minutes left. Brickies had 67 yards of offense against the backups, 172 against their starters.
