Kid was the back up on varsity last year behind a senior. And he did well when he came in.

If I remember correctly the kid for the season as a back up was

16/23 407 yards and 4 tds

Rushed 9 Carry 50 yards.




But on JV last year over a 90% completion rating and averaged roughly 360 passing yards a game.



This year.. varsity..

They are only using him on 3rd and long. He is like 5/12 170 yards.

10 carries for like 65 yards.


But JV…


Over a 80% completion rating. And averaging almost 400 yards passing in 2-3 quarters..


He can throw the heck out the ball. And he is accurate. But he isn’t used.

His “QBR” for JV is 110.4

I’m not against pope starting. A 2QB system would make the pirates deadly.

Popes speed and athleticism with a passing QB who can also get a few yards with his feet lol

I’m not saying state champ but they would be an elite offense. They have the talent just not being used correctly. Hope they change something but we will see.


And pope not starting is due to him transferring in from west side last year. And was ruled ineligible.. I don’t think he played sophomore or junior year. (Not 100% on sophomore year)
