Crown Point vs. Warsaw or Penn

Hell of a game at Penn. Missed extra point that would have tied it at 34with 5:42 left bites Penn. huge fourth and two conversion at midfield was huge as it let CP bleed clock and give Penn the ball back with 1:39 left on their own 5. Penn was able to move it to the CP27 but the long field goal attempt was not close.

The last possession for CP was a nail biter. I totally get why they would continue to bleed clock and run Ellison out of the wildcat since it was working. On the final 3rd and 6 I was expecting the QB to be back under certain in a passing situation. The ‘Dogs went to the well again and Penn stuffed it. I did not want to see Penn’s offense back on the field against that swiss cheese Crown Point secondary. Sure enough the Kingsmen drove down field and were in FG range for a very good HS kicker.

My theory on CP’s pass defense was proven correct. They got absolutely torched in the secondary. Westfield can throw the ball around even better than Penn.
