The rivals of yesteryear died at the Boneyard with the departure of Russ Radtke. Russ was the master of getting the boys jacked up. Think no further than some of the Hobart - Griffith matchups in the 90's. The Panthers were lined up on the 50 selling wolf tickets pre-game. The master of getting into people's heads. There are other examples but this is the one that stands out in my mind.

Lake Central may be going to federal court sued by ACLJ because of a coach. It's on YouTube

Tri-Town Raiders are gone. Middle school numbers are below average. I think they are trying to start something new, in pop-warner but ?? It really doesnt matter. Crown Point will always win that sectional and the Dac for that matter. Just a bad job and a bad situation for anybody. You have to have an administration that wants football to set the standard for the rest of the athletic department. The band gets priority at times over football. Do you think that happens anywhere else. Good Luck to whomever. Mount Everest you must climb...without a rope and a jacket !!!

Agree that whoever the new coach is that this will be a difficult job and likely lead to him leaving frustrated like the many that left before him.

It’s just a shame though.

All of the you saying 'rivalries aren't what they used to be' clearly haven't gone to an Andrean-Hobart game anytime recently.

Also, LC is garbage because they have an awful admin with a toxic culture.

Hobart is Transfer U. I'm sorry but those kids do not care one bit about rivalries.

1) No, maybe in the first part of the century.

2) Agree
