WEEK 6 DAC POWER RANKINGS AND PREDICTIONS
Week 6 power rankings.
1. crown point (5-0)
2. Merrillvillle (3-2)
3. Chesterton (3-2)
4. Michigan city (3-2)
5. Laporte (2-3)
6. Valpo (1-4)
7. Lake central (2-3)
8. Portage (0-5)
Week 6 DAC predictions
Chesterton @ portage:
Chesterton comes off a big win against a Valpo team that had beaten them 12 games in a row. Chesterton was able to keep penalties low and make plays when needed for a 8 point victory. Portage comes in still winless after getting dominated by the crown point bulldogs. Portage is getting better as the season goes on but this is another loss incoming for them.
Chesterton wins 28-10
Laporte @ Merrillville:
Laporte comes in off a convincing win over lake central 27-16. Mr. Raymond is a do it all stud for the slicers! This Laporte team has a chance to make another statement this week Against the merrillville pirates. I expect Raymond to get a good couple runs and maybe score once or twice.
Merrillville comes in off a dominating running clock victory over the Michigan city wolves. Merrillville controlled the line of scrimmage and chased there QB all night long. If there is any bad that comes out of this game it’s penalties!! Gotta clean those up. This is Merrillville homecoming so this is a dominant win for the pirates
45-14Merrillville
Michigan city @ lake central:
Michigan city comes in off there worst loss on the season. Nothing went right for the wolves as there were penalties! Players arguing with refs on calls. A lot of extracurricular back and forths that they couldn’t back up. And even had a player or two get ejected from the game. If Michigan city wants to get back on track they need to clean up there mistakes and the attitudes have to stay in check. There is a time and place for it. City has a good team that can compete but just won’t get out of their own way.
Lake central comes in off what some would say is a surprise of the week with a loss to the Laporte slicers. Lake central had issues stopping the one man show in Mr. Raymond. Lake central needs to tighten up there defense if they wanna be taken seriously in this matchup. Lake central is at home and the wolves are coming in off being embarrassed on there homefield. I expect the wolves to come in hot hard hitting and physical. Can lake central withstand it? I don’t think so.
City 35-20
Game of week:
Valpo @ crown point:
I will make this short, simple, sweet! Valpo is not the valpo team of last few years it’s growing but nowhere near that level. They lost to Chesterton last week for the first time in a long time. They are still finding what works and there is still
Time to be taken seriously.
Crown point comes in off another dominant showing just rolling along the tracks.
Crown point wins 50-7
