Man how the Times have changed. They haven't even released a top ten today.
Just disappointed for the kids these days. It was such a great time seeing the preseason coverage they used to do and reading the Saturday morning stories.
Glad at least region sports had the preseason pigskin party and a top 10 to create some excitement.

That was always the kickoff to the season back in the day.

I grew up with the South Bend Tribune, and they would do small capsules of each team before the season began. When I came to the region in 2005, I was absolutely blown away with the extra sports section dedicated to prep sports, including the football preview with the Times' offensive and defensive teams as well as those weekly predictions from JP, AH, BW, HS, and others. I have not seen a football preview in a few years but the last ones I saw were a shell of the old ones.paintballer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 1:21 pmMan how the Times have changed. I know it will never return but it doesn't help that I still miss the detail and attention all kids got in the region. They get one time to shine in high school and now the paper just wants you to click on the mugshots and overpay for corporate coverage of local life.
