Michigan City Job
Re: Michigan City Job
Paintballer, you beat me to it! I was wondering the same thing on hat comment. Under French, they were essentially .500 winning percentage and one sectional. For what many consider to be one of the better programs in the Region, that is not very impressive.

No knock on Coach French, but I always thought his success at Calumet was more of a carry over effect from the foundation that Good and TK built in the years before he was there.

Of course if you are smart you will build on what is established. French did and had a successful tenure at Calumet. A lot of his success was based on his support staff.

My sources say it will be a successful GSSC coach. Stay tuned.

Which coach would that be then? Old Ricky Good, or Charles-in-Charge, pocketing that tidy little salary

There you go… that narrows down the list.

He said successful. Not sure I would include “Charles in charge”North of 30 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 15, 2026 5:25 pmWhich coach would that be then? Old Ricky Good, or Charles-in-Charge, pocketing that tidy little salary

Time will tell… why do think Salary is not successful? He has always had a good support staff of coaches. The only criticism I have is establishing a better MS program. Good has been at it much longer and is older. Success will follow both coaches.

You also claimed years ago the parents from City you talked to wanted Mason out as well. Could it be that City fans just have unrealistic expecations?DACfanatic wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 6:08 pmJust speaking as a fan that talks to a lot of parents in city. They do not like anyone on the staff at city. They are unsatisfied with the way they have played and the talent they are losing to other schools. They think it’s needs a complete overhaul top to bottom… I think they just need the right coach
