Sectional Draw
Penn and CP headed for a sectional title matchup.
Mville has no competition in their sectional. Can give them the title already
MC and Valpo in a matchup in the first round and the winner gets Chesterton in the championship. That should be interesting. City has the most talent in that sectional, but would bet they do not come out.
Hobart and Lowell on a collision course to meet in the championship game. Should be a great old school sectional battle. I always forget how the homefield stuff works. Is there a way to know if they match up who will host?
Knox and Gtown will have a potential championship match in the 2nd round. Always fun to see Russ and Gtown matchup
Sectional 33 is going to be a lot of fun. Wheeler At Lake Station in round 1 and the winner gets Andrean! Bearcat Nation and I can renew our fun from years past in that battle. Then the fighting Nowlins of Renns will be waiting if they can get past Bremen in the 2nd round.

6A - CP and Penn at Penn will be a fun one. I'll take the Bulldogs by 8-10.
5A - Merrillville will get the winner of Valpo and Chesterton in the Final. I agree with your assessment of Sectional 10, 100%!
4A - Hobart should host Lowell in the Final. They both host round 1, will both likely be on the road for round 2, and the bottom team hosts the final (based on this scenario) so the Final should be at Hobart. Although if West Side can beat KV, Hobart would host rounds 1 and 2, meaning the Final would be at Lowell. There is not a scenario where Lowell would host back to back games. Winner of EC/ Highland will host Lowell/ round 2 regardless (so long as Lowell beats Hanover). If you're a Lowell fan, you're rooting for the Cougars from the West Side of Gary.
3A - The Griffith and Knox game will be much closer this year. I still think the Redskins take it in a tight one but I love how this year's Griffith team matches up with Knox. It'll be a fun one on Halloween!
2A - I like an Andrean vs Rensselaer Sectional Final matchup. Wheeler beats Lake Station. Andrean beats Wheeler. Rensselaer takes down Boone Grove and Bremen. The 59er's win Sectional 33.
1A - Bowman will make a run to the Sectional 41 Final after upsetting West Central in round 2 before losing to North Judson.

Jsyk they changed rules this year for state tourney bottom bracket team doesn’t host sectional title automatically anymore.
If you look at IHSAA you will see it goes to the team with most away games during year. If both are tied than bottom bracket hosts.
Read this!! As rules for state tourney hosts have changed!!
Had people ask me so here you go!!
SECTIONALS:
Semifinals: The team without a home game in 1st round will host. Exception: The bye team will always be the visitor. If both teams were hosts or both were visitors, the second-named team in the quarter bracket will host. In 6A and 5A – In the four team sectionals, the second named team will host.
Championship: Host team will be the team that has played the most away games (including postseason). If both teams have played the same number of away games, the bottom bracket team shall host.
REGIONALS:
Determining Home Team
New in 2025: all classes will use the rule below.
Sectional final game non-host, if applicable, or odd sectional number.
Semistate:
Determining Home Team
New in 2025: all classes will use the rule below.
*Regional non-host, if applicable, or lower sectional # (i.e., Sect. 1 is lower than Sect. 2).
*If regional winner has not hosted either sectional final or regional, that school will be the designated host.
Re: Sectional Draw
Given the New information....
Hobart and Lowell have played the same amount of Away games. Lowell will be on the road for round 2 regardless with new rule. Hobart will be at Home vs West Side or at KV. If Hobart is at KV and Lowell is at EC/ Highland then Hobart will host. If Hobart is at Home vs West Side and Lowell is at EC/ Highland then Lowell will host.

So I wasted my time coming up with the second scenario because Cody IFCA made up his own rules? Re: Sectional Draw
Regualr season has ZERO to do with the Sectional Draw, literally NOTHING
Each year/cycle Regional and Semi State tie breakers from Lower/Higher Sectional number gets tie breakers for teams who won Sectional and both Hosted or Both on ROAD same for Regional
I have been a part of 32 State Board meetings at the IFCA level
Who plays where for Sectionals Home/Away has nothing to do with the 9 practice games we get before the state Tournament

Again I’ll reiterate on the IHSAA website it states for the championship games
NEW FOR 2025!!! Yall need to open your eyes and look at the website..
IT SAYS NEW FOR 2025 sectional championship games will be held by team with MOST AWAY GAMES! so yes it does have to do with the games in the season lol
They also changed rules for regionals and semistate for 2025 if you would like to look for yourself.
