It would have to be Merrillville. Crown point status at 1 till they are beat.. but if you ask some crown point people they believe the talent is taking steps back in it sure I believe that. But Merrillville is definitely lurking. I’m not sure anyone else is in the convo. Merrillville crown point.


Valpo has fallen back. City probably will be last this year. Laporte could take a step to the top 4 potentially this year

I agree that this looks like a two-team race either Crown Point or Merrillville is going to win the DAC. Other programs are definitely improving, but they’re still not at the same level as those two. Merrillville made a run to the state championship last year, and Crown Point did the same a few years back. Right now, no one else in the conference has proven they can compete consistently at that level.


A more interesting question might be: who finishes third? My pick is Chesterton. They return a very talented quarterback, and I think that gives them the edge to win most of their conference games likely dropping only the matchups against the two DAC powerhouses.
