.i don't know about making excuses about merrillville, he's right about not having the athletes,
I haven't seen Crown Point play so I can't really comment on how athletic they are this year. I tried watching the Lowell game streamed by Region Sports and had to turn it off. Way to choppy. CPbulldogs2024 is Parkhurst. He always has an excuse for Merrillville losses.

No I’m parkhurst. Idk who the bulldogs guy is
If you say so. But alot of bulldogs comments are in par with your opinions from last year. I gotta know, man. Are you really a Packers fan?

No conspiracy theories being espoused by this guy; just responding to the title of the thread with an opinion, which is what this board is about.

My opinion on CP is based on what I saw, albeit one game against an outmatched opponent. Regardless, speed is speed and I didn't see any of the game changing type you're going to need to overcome the Indy mega schools and win a 6A championship. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly eat some crow as a post Thanksgiving meal.
Why is that though? I've lived in Hoosier Crossroads Confierence territory for the past 15 or so years and watch a lot of their games each Friday night as most are streamed. Both Lake Central and Crown Point are comparable to the HCC
Large Entrollment
Similiar Demographics
Similiar Resources

I get why Lake Central isn't very good compared to where they were with Britton. Maybe times have changed in St. John and they're finally all in on football again. But, Crown Point is all in. They brought in an Indy quality coaching staff with Buzz and Co. They have players wanting to transfer to CP. They SHOULD have athletes and be in contention for the 6A North.
Short answer: Iron sharpens iron. Their schedule is soft. Again, my opinion, but a good schedule should be: 2 games you're the underdog, 2 games you're the heavy favorite, and the rest should be tossups. That's hard when you're the biggest and best team in the area, hence my suggestion to go find a Chicago Catholic league powerhouse or an Indy 6A mega (easier said than done, obviously). It's hard to get better when you're the favorite in every game you play. Look at Center Grove. How many have they state titles do they have in the last few years? Are they content? Nope, they went over into Ohio and took a beating but they will be battle tested come the postseason. And with Indiana's all-in format there is ZERO excuse for not scheduling those kinds of games.

I could care less about conference realignment, etc. etc.

The bottom line is the best team in Indiana went across state lines and weren't afraid to take an "L." CP football needs to take a page from CP wrestling (and I don't mean stealing other program's best athletes) and toughen up their schedule.

Fair point. They were forced to go looking for games and put together a murderer's row. They have a really good team from the Nashville area coming up to Greenwood tonight.

Buzz knows what he's doing (obviously). I have no doubt the schedule will toughen and it has to be hard to find quality teams during the specific weeks you have non-conference slots

Do you know why Center Grove went across the border to Ohio to pick up a game?

100%. My dad took me into an nfl sho store when I was 3 years old. And told me to pick out anything. Well I walked over and grabbed a Brett farve jersey. And that was that. Lol

I was a packers fan. My dads a Vikings fan. Bother is a bears fan. 😂
