Andrean vs Hobart

Looking ahead to Friday, it feels like Hobart is in a great spot. Andrean only managed 21–7 over a Munster team that doesn’t have nearly the same talent Hobart brings to the field. If the 59ers struggled that much there, it’s tough to see them keeping up once the Brickies start leaning on them. Hobart’s physicality up front, their speed off the edge, and the way they swarm the ball is a whole different level.

Ethan Reyna who is a talented player but I don’t think he will have much success on the ground and Ben Novak is a massive body but him and the rest of the offensive line has struggled to hold up up front and give their QB time to throw.

Andrean is always loaded with talent for a 2A school, but when they step up against the bigger programs, the cracks show. It’s a lot like when they line up with Merrillville — they hang around early, but eventually wear down. We’ve seen it the last two years against Hobart too: their defense starts strong, then runs out of gas against a 4A team that keeps pounding away.

Andrean vs Munster game.

Andrean had 500 yards of offense to 50 for Munster. Munster had one first down the entire game. A kick off return was their only points. Andrean had turnovers and bad snaps in red zone multiple times.

Hobart vs Andrean will be a slugfest. I expect a low scoring game. Hobart big but slow.
