I mean he has some passing but I hear he doesn’t allow the QB to read the field he scripts it to 1 player and if that player isn’t open you check it down and don’t go anywhere elsehobart25ballout wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2026 11:44 pmWell Wheeler Fans won't like not throwing it deep or over the middle since the last 3 years their QBs were in the top 5 in passing in the area before the post season and had some good WR's as well. Good Luck with that Bearcats

A lot of the fans for the pirates feel that was the issue with a few semistate games.
Snider… couldn’t cover pass all season… we had a running QB that was ehh passing. But the backup (sanders) we knew could run the offense and get the WRs going.. crowd chanted we want Jordan coming out of half time. He refused.. mind you I think the game was 7-0?? Maybe 10-0 at half…
Warsaw…. Play calling was attricious. When the runners working he went pass.. and when the pass wasn’t working… he made more pass
Just to name a few from a fans perspective

Imagine being the Pirates OC for 7 seasons, helping them get to 5 semi state games, and the fans thinking you didn’t do a good job.DACfanatic wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2026 5:13 amA lot of the fans for the pirates feel that was the issue with a few semistate games.

5 semi state appearances in 7 seasons is good.
Calling for a sophomore QB that couldn’t win job as a junior or senior when the game was 7-0 shows just how uninformed Cody really is.
Good luck to coach wissing at wheeler. We should all be so lucky to see our programs go to 5 semi states in 7 years and think that’s a bad job.

The only one uniformed is you. The fans.. and most players couldn’t stand wissing. And on top of that. His play calling isn’t what got the to semistate it was the talent of the kids.
When you have people like Kenneth grant… Justin Marshall… John peters .. Marcus hardy… Jo Jo Johnson… Paris…. Logan… Phillip roche.. I can go on and on. They made the offense.. he just had to hand them the ball… and as for the sophomore not winning the job. As most those players will tell you. He wasn’t given the opportunity he was told when the summer started that because pope gave up a year of eligibility and remained a leader even though he couldn’t play he automatically got the job. As someone who is standing inside the inner circle of the program.. Jordan was never given reps for 1st team 99% of summer and most practices.. if wissing was good he would have balanced it. On top of that he called 3 plays total when Jordan came in in garbage time. Hand off. A screen and a play called money. Which was a pass to sideline. Which was scripted.
You know how many of those players said firming Jordan’s only year starting he got yelled at for looking at his WRs instead of throwing it to there wissing scripted the play… it’s common knowledge. When are you gonna suck it up and realize I have the receipts to back it up… if I could post photos here I would… and on top of that.. 1 year of Sabinas offense and we made state
